Terms of purchase

1. About this agreement

These terms apply to the purchase of the online course "ASH Kurs" at ashkurs.no. The seller is Vessel Plus AS, referred to below as "we".

By completing a purchase you accept these terms.

2. The product

The product is a digital online course giving access to course material, chapter tests and a final exam. On passing the final exam, a certificate with a unique serial number is issued.

The course covers the training need set out in the Norwegian regulations on working environment, safety and health for those working on board ships (the ASH regulations). It is the responsibility of the buyer and the shipping company to assess whether the course covers the specific training need on board.

3. Price and payment

The price is NOK 1,500 per participant. All prices are stated in Norwegian kroner.

Payment is made by card through our payment provider. We do not store card details.

4. Access

Access is granted to the account used for the purchase, immediately after payment is confirmed. Access is personal and may not be transferred or shared.

Access does not expire for as long as the course is offered. Should the course be discontinued, we will give at least three months' notice.

5. Right of withdrawal

Under Norwegian consumer law, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on purchases made online.

For digital content delivered immediately, the right of withdrawal lapses once delivery has begun, provided you have expressly consented to this and acknowledged the loss of that right. By starting the course you consent to immediate delivery.

If you have not opened the course content, you may request a full refund within 14 days by contacting us at post@ashkurs.no.

6. Exam and certificate

The final exam consists of 20 questions. The pass mark is at least 80 % correct answers. You may retake the exam at no extra cost.

The certificate documents completed training. We may revoke a certificate issued on an incorrect basis, for example in cases of cheating or account sharing.

7. Complaints

If the course does not work as described, contact us at post@ashkurs.no. We will correct the fault as quickly as possible. If the fault cannot be corrected within reasonable time, you may claim a refund.

8. Limitation of liability

The course provides training in regulations and good practice. We are not responsible for how that knowledge is applied on board, or for decisions taken on the basis of the course content. Our liability is in any event limited to the purchase price.

9. Changes

We update the course content when the regulations change. Material changes to these terms will be notified by email to registered users.

10. Disputes

This agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be resolved amicably where possible. Consumers may complain to the Norwegian Consumer Authority. If unresolved, the venue is the seller's place of business.
